EDUCATION AND TRAINING:

2002-2003: First year graduate student at MIT in the Department of Materials Science and Engineering. I am a Research Assistant in the Photonic Band gap Fibers and devices group of Pr. Yoel Fink. I am doing my research on changing and controlling the optical properties of Chalcogenide glass thin films by different means (illumination and charges deposition mainly).
1999-2002: Student at the Ecole Polytechnique in France (Palaiseau) in the top 5 of the engineering schools in Europe. Majors in Mathematics and theoretical Physics. (First year in the French Army) –Second semester during the year 2001-2002: Project on the study of the influence of YBaCuO grain sizes on their Superconductivity with Professor Hubert Pascard. –From April to July 2002: research work at the Polytechnic University of St Petersburg (Russia) on the emission of polarized electrons beam from illuminated semiconductors with Professor Yuri Mamaev.
1996-1999: Preparation for admission to French Engineering Graduate Schools at the Lycée Lous-le Grand (Paris 5th district)
1996: Baccalauréat S (high school leaving certificate, major in sciences) with honors (Equivalent to A-Levels)

MILITARY SERVICE

August 1999-August 2000: Military service in the French Air Forces -August 1999-December 1999: training in different units to become a Lieutenant in the Parachutists Commando of the Air Force Corps. –January 2000-August2000: Lieutenant in the Protection Squadron of the Nuclear Air Force Base in Orange (France).

WORK EXPERIENCES:

July-August 2001: 6 weeks in Angarsk (Siberia, Russia) in the enterprise “Flor”, which product flowers, fruits and vegetables, working in the fields.

LANGUAGES SKILLS:

French: mother tongue
English: fluent, TOEFL passed the 12th of December 2001 : 255 pts on the computer based exam
Russian: fluent.
German: beginner (studied 5 years in high school)
